Taking a multivitamin daily may slow biological aging.

A new scientific study suggests that taking a daily multivitamin supplement may help slow the body's biological aging process, opening the door to a new understanding of the role of dietary supplements in supporting health as we age.

The study, led by researchers from Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in the United States, found that taking a multivitamin supplement for two years was associated with a slight slowing of biological aging markers in older adults, according to the science website ScienceAlert.

The researchers relied on data from nearly 1,000 participants with an average age of approximately 70 years old, as part of a scientific study known as COSMOS.
